Wedding Photography FAQs
Tiny Moments of Deep Meaning
Perfectly Imperfect & Full of Love
Yes, I will capture all of the pretty things that are part of wedding day. But my emphasis is on your connection, love, and nostalgia. Your wedding day IS part of your legacy. You will FEEL it, and be taken back to that day, the moment, and the feelings. I will deliver my best, authentically, and from the heart, the only way I know!
We want to book...what next?
After you pay the date reservation fee and contract signing, you are all set. Our next step is to plan your engagement session. I will suggest locations and help you style wardrobe options. I love a local destination session and it is a great way to make your engagement photos special and unique. It is also a great way to connect with you and your story. You can see how I work, and I can help you become comfortable in front of the camera.
When will my photos be ready?
Your wedding gallery will be complete between 8-12 weeks after your wedding, Portrait photography will be between 2-4 weeks after your session. I provided sneak peaks within 4 days of your wedding to share in the excitement you have after your day.
How do you edit your photographs?
I do edit my photographs. My style is not "light & airy" nor "dark and moody". I would describe my style as natural, timeless, and my photographs "look how the day felt". My intention is to capture your emotion, sentiment, and passion without altering or distorting your essence, or the essence of our surroundings on the day of your engagement session or wedding. I do enhance light, shadow, color, and will occasionally “Photoshop” the distracting stand of hair etc. I do not alter physical features but do correct blemishes and whiten teeth if needed.
What if we need to reschedule our wedding date?
Life happens, and I completely understand. If you have to reschedule your wedding date, I would be happy to do so based on availability. If you reschedule in the same calendar year there will be no charge. There will be an additional 15 % charge per calendar year added.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon R6 for digital images and I use prime and zoom lenses. For film photography,I shoot with a Pentax 645n & a Canon 1V. I always have a backup. I will use a flash and artificial light when needed for night shots and indoor weddings.
Are you involved in our wedding planning process?
I will work closely with you or your planner and vendor team to create a photography timeline that aligns with your day. I remain close throughout the wedding planning process, however your wedding planner is the first go to for all of your wedding day questions.
How many photos will we receive?
For weddings, you can expect to receive about 40-60 images per hour. I always choose quality rather than quantity. I will choose the best and most significant photos to curate your gallery and tell your story.
Do you take indoor photographs?
For weddings I shoot in and outdoors, and use flash as well as other artificial lighting.
Do you require a deposit and a contract?
